Casino affiliate SEO for sites that promote licensed brands
Affiliates carry two risks operators do not: comparison and review sites are often among those affected by core updates, and regulators hold the operator responsible for what you publish, so operators drop affiliates who create compliance problems. We work on both.
Talk about your affiliate site ↗Casino affiliate SEO is search optimization for sites that earn commission by referring players to online casinos and sportsbooks. Done properly, it means review and comparison pages that show real testing and sourced facts, technical health that survives core updates, content that stays inside each market's advertising rules, and accurate coverage in the AI answers that increasingly sit above your rankings.
It is also the part of iGaming search where shortcuts are most tempting and most expensive. We do not sell links, build networks or place your content on other publishers' domains.
How affiliate SEO differs from operator SEO
An operator ranks mostly for its own brand and its product pages. An affiliate has no brand searches to fall back on at first, so it competes for the category queries ("best online casinos in New Jersey", "Ontario sportsbook apps") that every other affiliate and the operators themselves also want. That makes affiliates far more exposed to algorithm changes.
The regulatory position is different too. In the UK, the Gambling Commission's social responsibility code requires licensees to take responsibility for the third parties they contract with, and it treats the operator as primarily responsible for affiliate marketing breaches. In Ontario, the AGCO's Standard 1.19 makes operators accountable for affiliate advertising, and Standard 1.21 bars affiliates of registered operators from promoting unregistered sites to Ontario players. In New Jersey and Pennsylvania, affiliates themselves have had to register or hold a licence, depending on whether they are paid a flat fee or a revenue share.
What we work on
Evidence a reviewer can check
Who tested the brand, when, and how: deposit and withdrawal tests with dates, licence numbers linked to the regulator, and terms quoted accurately. Generic "pros and cons" blocks copied across fifty reviews are what core updates remove.
Rankings with a stated method
A "best casinos in Pennsylvania" page should say what it measured and list only brands licensed in Pennsylvania. That is better for users, safer for your partners and more likely to be cited by AI answers.
Content each market allows
Ontario bars public bonus advertising, the UK Gambling Commission caps bonus wagering at 10x from January 2026 and the CAP code restricts youth appeal in ads, US states require age and help-line messaging. We map your templates against each market you target.
Being one of the cited sites
AI answers about gambling lean heavily on affiliates. We track which affiliates get cited for your target prompts and why, then close the gaps on your own pages.
Recovering after a core update
Google confirmed core updates on 27 March and 21 May 2026, and spam updates on 24 March, 24 June, 18 August and 24 September. Affiliate sites that drop after one of these usually ask for a fix in weeks. The honest answer is that core update recovery, where it happens, tends to show at a later core update, after the site has genuinely changed.
Our recovery work starts with separating causes. A spam update hit points to a policy problem, such as scaled pages or bought links, and needs those removed. A core update drop points to quality and usefulness, which means looking at which page types lost, comparing them with what replaced them, and rebuilding the weakest templates first. We also check for technical regressions released around the same date, because a broken canonical or a blocked template can look exactly like an algorithm hit.
Practices we will not touch
Placing affiliate pages on news sites or university domains to borrow their authority is site reputation abuse under Google's spam policies. Since 30 August 2026, Google says manual actions for it no longer apply inside the EEA, where affected sections may instead be separated to rank on their own, but manual actions still apply outside the EEA. Expired domains bought for their backlinks, private blog networks, mass-produced state or city pages, and fake "expert" bylines are all in the same category. Each might work for a while. Each also gives an operator's compliance team a reason to end the partnership.
Will AI search kill casino affiliates?
It is taking some informational clicks, and that is real. But large affiliates are heavily cited in gambling AI answers. One analysis of 100 prompts across four AI models found Casino.org cited in 61 of them, and the top three of the 146 US affiliates tracked took 37% of the 1,755 citations to them. The affiliates most at risk are the ones whose pages add nothing an AI summary cannot. Those with original testing, clear methods and current facts are the ones being cited.
A planned first quarter
Audit
Technical crawl, template-level quality review, partner list checked against each market's licensed operators.
AI baseline
A prompt panel for your markets showing which affiliates are cited and where you stand.
Rebuild templates
Review and comparison templates rewritten with method, evidence and market rules built in.
Measure and adjust
Search Console by template, AI citation share by market, and a review calendar for regulatory facts.
The Growth plan suits most affiliates working two markets. Content writing is quoted separately, since most affiliates prefer to keep their own writers.
Casino affiliate SEO questions
Do you work with affiliates or only operators?
Both. We work with affiliates whose partner brands are licensed in the markets the affiliate targets. We will ask for your partner list and target markets before scoping.
Can you get us ranking for "best online casino"?
Not as a promise, and not quickly. National head terms are among the most contested in search. A better plan starts with market-specific and long-tail queries where your testing adds something, then builds toward broader terms as the site earns trust.
How long does recovery after a core update take?
There is no fixed timeline. Where recovery happens, it usually appears during a later core update, after real changes to the affected page types. Anyone promising a recovery date is guessing.
Do you build links for affiliates?
No. We do not buy, sell or exchange links. We focus on the pages, technical health and source accuracy that make a site worth linking to and citing.
Can affiliates promote bonuses in Ontario?
The AGCO's standards bar public advertising of inducements, bonuses and credits; offers may appear only on the operator's own site or in direct messages to players who opted in there. Affiliate bonus pages aimed at Ontario are therefore a real risk. Your partners' compliance teams and legal advisers make the final call.
Should we bill operators by revenue share or flat fee?
That is your commercial and legal decision, and it can change your licensing obligations in some US states. New Jersey, for example, has treated revenue-share affiliates differently from flat-fee affiliates. Take legal advice for each market.
